[SOLVED] Repair the hard drive as unallocated

A brand new hard drive is completely unassigned. Unassigned drives represent hard drives that are not assigned to any drive letter.

Therefore, when you install an operating system on a new computer, you need to partition the unassigned hard disk. Because you can't use the hard drive without distribution.

In some cases, the existing hard drive (the disk drive you are using) will also have unallocated space. The unallocated space on the hard drive indicates that the space on the disk does not belong to any partition and no data can be written to it. To use this unallocated space, you need to create a new partition or the current partition on the extended drive.

However, in rare cases, the entire hard drive becomes unallocated! Yes, sometimes a well-functioning hard drive will appear unassigned for no reason, making all files and folders stored in it inaccessible.
So this article lets us know why your hard drive is not assigned and how to fix it without losing any data.

Why is the hard drive unallocated?

Usually, your hard drive will not be able to be allocated for basic reasons.
·         File system corruption, corruption or error
·         internal error
·         Improper way to handle the hard drive, such as popping up incorrectly
·         Virus attack hard disk
·         Accumulate bad sectors
·         Outdated hard drive software, etc.
Even if there are many reasons for unassigned drives, you can easily solve the problem with some simple techniques. However, if you have saved important files on an unassigned hard drive, it is recommended to restore them first to avoid data loss.
