How to create a new APFS capacity in MacOS Sierra?

Many people think that Apple's new file system "APFS" is not for a specific platform. According to Apple, this is a variant file system (MacOS, TVOS, iOS, and WatchOS) for all Apple's operating systems.

Now, this file system is available as pre-release software in the MacOS Mountains, the latest desktop and server operating systems from Apple.
However, this feature is currently experimental. In short, 2017, APF is expected to become the default file system for iOS and MacOS Sierra.

The experimental simulation file system has certain limitations, such as the MacOS Serra file system. Very few here.
  1. Time machine backup won't work if you use APF drivers.
  2. In the fusion hard drive (Apple's hybrid hard drive, using solid state drive + hard drive function), the existing file system can not be used.
  3. The FileVault program on the Mac does not work with the APF drive.
  4. The MAC boot disk cannot use the APF file system.
If you want to test your MacOS Serra Machine APF, you have to wipe the presence driver should be formatted with APF.

If you don't want to use your internal hard drive, you can choose a USB flash drive or external hard drive capacity.
In short, format your drive in HFS+, don't forget to bring a backup of the data on all drives. Otherwise, you may be eager to find ways to  recover lost data  in the future.

Step step driving in MacOS Sierra APFS

  1. Open your terminal program and run the command "diskutil list" without quotes.
  2. Now you can find the identifier of the drive you want to format.
  3. With this drive in APF format, you have to create a container on the drive that exists. For running diskutil apfs createContainer /dev/disk3 command (here, your drive identifier is disk3.
  4. It is time to add APF capacity. To do this, run this command -> diskutil apfs addVolume disk3 APFS myAPFS (here, myapfs is the name of the new system).
  5. You have created the first APF capacity. At any time, you can use the disk utility on your Mac to format the drive with another known file system.
